The Eastern Ontario Colleges Consortium / Consortium des Collèges de l’Est de l’Ontario (EOCC) was created to deliver a SkillsAdvance Ontario project for the steel and aluminum manufacturing and metal fabrication sector of Eastern Ontario. Skills Advance Ontario (SAO) is a sector-focused workforce development project, supporting partnerships that bring together employers with employment and training providers to develop job-ready, skilled workers that meet workforce needs. The consortium includes Algonquin, Fleming, St. Lawrence, La Cite and Loyalist Colleges, your trusted partners in talent acquisition, ongoing training, and professional development.

Organizations in the steel and aluminum manufacturing and metal fabrication sectors of Eastern Ontario can receive up to 100% funding for eligible training costs to enhance skills to adapt to new technologies, equipment and processes in the sector, as well as building leadership capabilities for the next generation of manufacturing management. To-date, Over 1000 incumbent employees in this sector have benefited from the training provided by the EOCC. NEW in 2020-2021 is industry developed micro credentials to support job seekers in gaining essential and critical skills to start and retain work in the manufacturing sector.
